This weekend was pretty fun, didn’t really take any time to talk about it but might as well, and put some pictures along with it!
Started out with pop show on Friday, and it was really fun. Working with my close friends and just having a good time was nice, and we definitely did good, and it was a good feeling. I enjoyed it! hopefully next year damani comes back and we all get back together and do it again. it was a really fun experience, hopefully i get to experience it again within the next two years. :) besides actually being pop show, rehearsing was quite funny as well. lololol, imitating damani’s guitar picture.
so after pop show and getting home crazy late, I went to bed, and woke up bright and early with like 5 hours of sleep to drive to best buy, buy a stereo, then to be on my way to Austin! state solo and ensemble day! kinda unprepared but then again, it was still good. could have been much better though, or im just judging myself too hard, lol either way it was a good day as well. car ride up there was nice lol. i forgot what the narnia movie was called so i called it “the chronicles of narnia: the witch, the wardrobe, and the hat”. lololol so random, but then we finally reached. I was the last to perform so i had to wait like 3-4 hours. Got in the room and the guy was a different judge then supposed to be and i was like crap……started playing and kinda got a bit nervous which was weird. i got off the recorded accompaniment, but he said it didnt matter cause i sounded really good. he then told me after my solo, that it didn’t matter if i cracked or got off with the recording cause i sounded good and i kept together instead of just stopping. also he was kinda shocked when i told him i was a sophomore. lolol. he told me that if I kept playing like that Id have a bright future ahead of me, and also that i’d be doing well in college if i continued to pursue trombone. he said i sound great and then told me to audition for his college. lolol. it was good……i was still scared he was going to give me a two. lololol, then we finally found out and i got a one. was pretty happy, was only one of the three? or maybe 4 people to get a one from that judge that whole entire day. it was just crazy. i was doing something right, and i just kinda couldn’t help but smile.
then we left UT and headed back home.
then the next day hung out with damani and john and keithan, went to sno beach and whatnot, and had more adventures and more blahablahblhablahba bunch of funny stuffs and good times and memories and stuff
